Jose Maria Olazabal has been named Europe's 2012 Ryder Cup captain.
Olazabal who has played in 7 Ryder Cups, losing only 10 times in 31 matches will be a popular choice amongst the fans and the European players.

He famoulsy stood in as a last minute Vice Captain for Captain Colin Montgomeire at the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor.

The 2012 Ryder Cup will be held at Medinah Country Club outside of Chicago, site of three U.S. Opens and two PGA Championships.
With Tiger Woods winning the two PGA Championships held at this venue in 1999 & 2006.
