Beginner to Winner

Beginner to Winner Junior Golf Programme at Chandlers Ford Golf Academy, Southampton

We have worked now with our juniors for around three years and are very proud of the achievements and advancements they have all made within the game. We currently teach approximately 100 juniors.

Over this period of time we have worked with various national training programs which have helped, we do feel however these are limited. We like to work with our juniors as a team but also at their own individual pace.

Moving forward we have designed a series of levels at different stages of the game for each individual to work with, aged 3 to 18 year old, each of the 7 levels have 20 different tasks/skills to pass, to advance to next level each junior must pass 17 of the 20 tests, when this is achieved, they receive the colour belt that relates to the level achieved to proudly wear in the lessons.

The belts are made by SubSevety and are one of the best available on the market, they are the same as you’ve seen on the Golf tours around the world.

There is no rush for them to pass any level and any weeks missed can easily be gone over again. The seven different colours are worked on during the lessons and go all the way upto Black belt.

Once black belt level status is achieved the holder will no longer pay for there group lessons with us, they will be helped more in the area’s of helping us coach, we feel that this would be a good start if they were thinking of a career into the world of Golf.

Titleist, Footjoy and Cobra have helped sponsor this for us and each child will have their very own File to bring to their lessons with the syllabus they are working on at the time and previously, this will also be a great Log book of their experience when they join a golf club.

The test are fair but firm they range from keeping their golf clubs clean and the importance of this, to black belt level where one of the tests is to play off a handicap of 5  or less.

We are very excited about this and look forward to our launch.
